Comment : Very particular stone because of its pleochroism visible to the naked eye (generally we use a dichroscope to see it). By turning the stone, some parts change from blue-violet to colorless. Quite surprising the first time you observe the phenomenon. Stone which must be in any good collection but can also be worn as jewelry.
This has a fairly light color for an Iolite but it gives it a very aesthetic appearance of sapphire or pale Tanzanite. But pleochroism is still visible.
