Comment : Another gem magnified by chrome. Its problem is that it has very low hardness which makes its work in jewelry very delicate and can only be worn as a pendant, brooch or earring. But it makes pretty jewelry!

A curious fact: although chrome diopside contains chromium, it does not react to the Chelsea filter as one might expect. Instead of turning red, it darkens slightly.
