Clarity : Some small inclusions difficult to distinguish with the eye (and only in transmitted light) but visible with a x10 magnifying glass.

Treatment : Heated. Stable and permanent treatment. Very common for apatite of this color from Madagascar but not systematic. Apatite being very fragile, the heating temperature is not very high (350 to 500°C) because it can break during heating.

Origin : Madagascar

Comment : Very pretty stone of a magnificent blue and a beautiful luminosity. The most sought after color for apatite. Often compared to the blue of Paraíba tourmalines.

A few very small surface scratches which are not visible to the eye but which I take into account in the price. This is due to the fact that apatite is a very soft stone, quite delicate to assemble into jewelry.

The supplier was not able to tell me if it had been heated. I seem to see a tiny sign of it so I consider it as such.
