Frequently Asked Questions
Our Stones
Do the photos in the ads match the stones for sale?
Yes, all the photos in our listings are actual images of the stones for sale. Since each stone is unique, we make sure the photos best reflect the color, shape, and details of each piece.
Where do your stones come from?
We source our stones primarily from Asia, particularly Bangkok and Chantaburi in Thailand and Jaipur in India. We are considering expanding our supply sources to Sri Lanka and Brazil.
How can I be sure of the authenticity of the stones?
All our stones are analyzed by our gemologist trained at the National Institute of Gemmology in Lyon to guarantee that each stone corresponds exactly to its description.
Are all stones checked before being put on sale?
Yes. All stones, without exception, are checked before being put up for sale on the website or at a trade show.
Do you have a physical store where it is possible to see the stones in real life?
No, we do not have a physical store. If you are an individual, the only way you can see our stones in real life is at trade fairs.
I am a professional, is it possible to see your stones?
Yes, if you are in the Lyon region or in the major cities of Rhône-Alpes and along the Rhône Valley, we can organize a visit to your premises.
Do you work with local artisans to make your jewelry?
In the Lyon region, we work with jewelers whom we can recommend for your jewelry creations. If we don't know anyone in your area, we can help you find a qualified professional.
Order and Payment
Do you do special orders for rare or custom stones?
Yes, you can place orders with us. We will do our best to find you the stone you want at the lowest possible price, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to find it within your desired price range.
Do you offer advice or consultations on choosing a stone?
We already have a guide to help you choose a stone. If that's not enough, you can contact us for advice. We are available to answer your questions via our contact form on the website, by email at passotgems@gmail.com or info@passot-gems.fr or by phone at 06.71.22.45.05 (if possible WhatsApp)
Do you offer payment facilities or installment payments?
We currently don't offer installment payments directly, but PayPal does offer this option for its verified customers. We're actively exploring other options to offer our customers more flexibility in their payments.
Delivery
How are stones packaged for shipping?
Each stone is carefully protected in a special gemological presentation box, featuring a transparent lid that allows the stone to be viewed without opening it. This box is placed in a zip bag for added security, then in a bubble envelope to ensure optimal protection during transport.
Which carriers do you use for shipping?
Our packages are sent by post via Colissimo (delivered with or without signature). For relay points, in addition to the post office, we use Mondial Relay.
How long does it take for delivery?
In mainland France, delivery times vary from 2 to 5 days. We ship orders within 1 to 3 days (usually the same day or the next day), and Colissimo delivery times are generally 48 hours.
How can I track my order?
As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking link.
Are there any instructions on the package?
No, the package is completely neutral and discreet. No details about the contents or origin of the order are visible on the outside of the package. This is to prevent theft during delivery or after delivery to your home.
I am an individual, is it possible to have a stone ordered on the site delivered to me in person?
No, for security reasons we do not offer this service.
I am a professional, is it possible to have a stone ordered on the site delivered to me in person?
Yes, if an appointment is made to give you a presentation at your premises.
Is it possible to pick up a stone ordered on the site at a trade fair and not pay delivery costs?
Yes, it is possible within one month before the show.
Return/Exchange
If a stone doesn't suit me, how long do I have to return it?
If a stone does not meet your expectations and you wish to return it, you have 14 days after receipt to notify us of your intention to return the stone. After receiving our confirmation, you will have another 14 days to return the stone to us. Full details are available here
If a stone does not suit me, how does the return process work?
You must return the stone in the same condition you received it, in its original packaging. Return shipping is at your expense. We recommend using a trackable service to return the stone to us to ensure its safety during transport.
Is it possible to request an exchange instead of a refund for a stone that is not suitable?
Yes, an exchange is possible. If you prefer an exchange, we will offer you a selection of stones that match your expectations. The shipping costs for the new stone will depend on its price. You are responsible for the return shipping costs for the original stone.
