Tsavorite garnet belongs to the grossular garnet family. They have a beautiful green color due to chromium and/or vanadium (like emerald). Completely clean tsavorites are quite rare and their price rises very quickly. They are mainly found in Kenya and Tanzania. The name tsavorite comes from the Tsavo Park where it was discovered.

Tsavorite garnet is highly sought after, its price has exploded in recent years and for the moment does not seem to stop rising.
