Collection: Chrysoberyl

Chrysoberyl is a fairly rare gem, often confused with beryl due to similar names, although they are distinct.

It is divided into several varieties, one of the most sought after is cat's eye. This stone, opaque or translucent, displays a chatoyance under the light, evoking the vertical pupil of a cat's eye. Although she is not the only one to exhibit this effect, she is the only one that can simply be called "cat's eye." For others, it is necessary to specify the name before "cat's eye".

There are also gem chrysoberyls which have a characteristic color ranging from yellow to green.

Finally, there is alexandrite, the queen of chrysoberyls. This rare variety is renowned for its color change from green to red depending on the light source (daylight/incandescent lamp). Its price soars when the color change is well marked.
